The turned twill structure of this handwoven scarf overlays ribbons of color in five shades of blue with a conceit of chartreuse for contrast. The shifting directions of the twill beautifully showcase the sheen of the 100% silk fiber. Due to the regular navy blue stripes in the warp and the twill structure, the reverse side presents darker. Designed at the loom, the horizontal ribbons of the weft change in thickness along the length of the scarf. It is hem-stitched and finished with a twisted fringe, measuring 11-1/2 × 66” (excluding 5” fringe).
